So, Mel called in the experts. Together, they break down the surprising psychology behind body shame and give you a practical, proven roadmap to feeling better, starting now. You’ll learn how to: -Break free from body shame, obsession, and constant comparison -Rewire your brain for confidence and lasting self-acceptance -Use 4 science-backed steps to heal how you see yourself -Understand the hidden psychology behind body image and self-talk -Unpack the shocking research on how screens and modern life are distorting your self-image (and how to fix it) This isn’t just a conversation. It’s your roadmap to healing, backed by science. After listening you will have the tools, the science, and the mindset shift you need to stop hiding—and start seeing yourself clearly. To anyone who's suffering depression, anxiety, insomnia and other mental health problems, you are not alone. I feel you. You are so brave. You are doing so well. I'm proud of you. I'm sending you a virtual hug ❤ For me, it wasn’t therapy or meds that helped the most — it was reconnecting with myself. I started using the exercises in Shift Your Mind by Alexander Brooks, and it made me feel human again. The anxiety that used to control my whole day barely shows up now! 🙏❤

My issue started with my mom judging me. So I believe others are judging me. I didnt judge myself until I realized my mom was.

Our inner voice has to be our best friend. Unfortunately for most, it’s a bully. 😢

We weren’t born hating ourselves. Somewhere along the way, we learned to. 😑

Mine was way back in Elementary, i got bullied a lot EVERY DAY by my classmates for being fat. It didn't stop there, even until high school I got bullied by having that body odor( where I was complete unaware at that time since I have no idea that I already have that) so i got very much conscious about myself to the point my armpit got burned from deo. Until today, i am still struggling about accepting my body and my self. But after watching this episode, i felt free. I realized so many things and now I just want to quit social media and start living. ~This video literally popped up when i feel so lost about myself. Time to unpack and unlearn so many unhealthy habits about myself. Thank you so much for the enlightenment💙 To those people who can relate to me, we can do this. Let's be genuinely happy. ❤

So I atttactrd a husband that hated my body and all the stuff I hated he hated and wouldn’t even touch me properly. He voiced it. When we got divorced he told me now he can get a beautiful wife. I just attracted what I thought of myself :( needless to say I was mocked throughout school for my looks and compared to my cousins and sisters. I come from a community where fairness is the beauty standard. Anyway there’s hope. I started focusing on my spirit and I got better. Now I’m not saying I’m happy in my body 💯 but I started focusing on what I really am and that’s a spirit being. Now what’s so funny is that I get a ridiculous amount of compliments, I was just too dark for the community leaving it made me realise I might actually be beautiful but it’s too late 😅 Oh and I have a partner of almost 4 years and he adores me and I adore him and our love making is beautiful. Unfortunately when I’m very down about my body I don’t want to be touched. I’m on an active path of self acceptance here as most of us are love you all we are all one and we are not our bodies ❤

My first bully was my mom. At 27 i am still working hard to unlearn the hatred for myself that she instilled in me daily as a kid/teenager. In the past year ive lost 85lbs and yesterday i needed to wear a tank top to work. (I work in a factory where it reached 40°c + inside) i thought about just risking the heat stroke instead of wearing the tank top because i was so afraid my coworkers would judge my arms because of the weightloss creating extra saggy skin. The only comment i qctually ended up getting from any coworker was just that my tattoos were pretty and colourful. I spent hours in anxiety for absolutely no reason.
