"Wolfman's got nards!" Is one of the best lines in movie history. Also, The Creature from the Black Lagoon effects in this movie are legitimately amazing and still holds up. I kind of love that Dracula kept all the sillyness from the Universal portrayals, but is still intimidating (and even his obsession with dynamite is technically book-canon).
"You know a lot about monsters" "You know, now that I mention it, I suppose I do." - and shows the Auschwitz Death Camp number. That's pretty powerful imagery right there. 15:30
The actress who plays Mrs. Crenshaw is Mary Ellen Trainor. She was also in The Goonies, Romancing the Stone, Lethal Weapon, Die Hard, Ghostbusters II, Back to the Future II, Forrest Gump, etc. She was married to Robert Zemeckis for 20 years as well. Unfortunately, she died in 2015 at the relatively young age of 62.
“I’m in the goddamn club aren’t I?” When I saw that as a boy I knew what cool was.
Thank God they recruited Rudy right before this all went down. He took out the Mummy, 3 brides, and the Wolfman. Not to mention he acquired the bow, cast the silver bullets and made the stakes.
Fun fact, Duncan Regehr (Dracula) refused to wear the red contacts and fangs around five years old ashley bank (phoebe) because it scared her the scene where the Dracula picks her up and she screams was done in one take her scream was real. In 2006 wizard magazine ranked 100 greatest monsters Dracula was number thirty and it was duncan Regheehr's portrayal that they listed as one of the best in cinema history
A fun 80's adventure with a slightly scary twist, The Monster Squad offers tween-friendly horror with just enough of a kick.
Back in high school, I hosted a Halloween party at my house and I chose this film as the movie night. And let me tell u, that was one of the best days of my life. 👻
"My name is Horace!" One of favourite movie when I was a kid.
"She looks 30" Boom, roasted 🤣
