Wesley Snipes was in his prime here. He looked like a million bucks, his costume was badass, and every martial arts move he did could be on a poster. He just nailed it.

"Blade", like "Van Helsing", isn't a horror movie. It's an action movie with horror trappings.

The real Marvel Jesus. Blade saved Marvel from bankruptcy because the movie was a box office success, led to other studios to buy the spider-man and x-men rights and make movies of them and this led the Disney buying the other marvel characters and the MCU was born. The success of this movie also inspired Warner Bros to make a more gritty realistic Batman and hired Christopher Nolan to do it, Plus this movie inspired the Matrix and the video game Tekken. Also Stan Lee said Blade was his favourite Marvel character. Blade basically saved the live action superhero movie.

As soon as I hear the music in the slaughterhouse I am immediately taken back to the late 90s and clubbing in Europe. I was 18 years old and my life felt like it entered a new world from there on from childhood to something inexplicable.
