Story 1: So just to confirm here Op… Your POS BIL abused your son, your SIL then got your husband arrested, then your MIL invited 2 abusers to your home…and you are actually here asking if YOU are TA for calling the police on them…? Why are you asking this…? Theres no universe where you actually think you’re TA…
OPs husband: I'll handle it *stays silent, does nothing* "You shouldve let me handle it, now my abusive family members are gonna hate me again"
I would be on my death bed cursing anyone who has harmed my child.
Nope, scum's husband deserves the full 5/5 for abusing a child who can't defend himself and then lying about it.
Story 4: That's a core memory being formed right there, but at least you can't say OP didn't warn the little sister
Story 1: I'm sorry that the child beating coward still has ankles to walk with.
I'm sorry, but the commenter who wrote "every so often they used their bed as a trampoline and you're not going to convince me otherwise" is a well-adjusted individual.
Story 1: NTA. If my husband's family assaulted my child, I would never want anything to do with them ever again. Your husband keeps saying "he'll handle it", but ends up doing the complete opposite and be mute the whole time. You done the right thing, so I am not sure why is your husband is still seeing you as the problem here, he's effectively telling you to "mind your own f*cking business" and did NOT handle it.
For the last story, I'm gonna have to agree with OP on this, it's part of growing up, especially if you're not all that observant. My parents would literally hire a babysitter, to take me and my brother out of the house for a couple of hours, just so they could have some booty time.
Story 2: I'd move out too. Its one thing to help your adult children who are struggling, you should, but this isn't the case.
