I work with a lot of people who have real money. I’m not going to lie, some of the worst aren’t the super rich people, it’s the people who were really successful on the local level. I worked for one guy who owned a pretty successful local business and put in a respectable ten hour day. I told him that I was going to do a clean up and head out and I’ll be back tomorrow to finish up. He told me “go home to your mac and cheese”. I actually had a fifth or sixth date with my now wife and she wanted to cook for me. I was telling her the story and she got uncomfortable. One of the sides was mac and cheese. We ended up laughing at him. When I went into the bathroom she stole my phone and changed his contact name to “Mac and Charles”. The next morning I was at the shop prepping for his job and he called me. I couldn’t stop laughing when I answered. That’s when I knew that I needed to marry that woman. Guess what, Mac and Charles, mac and cheese is fucking delicious!

That is true about the "rich people parking anywhere" thing but at the same time tow truck drivers, at least here in Toronto, are VEEEEERY keen to tow cars that park like that just because they know the owners will just pay the towing and storage fees fast to get their vehicle back.

Your rich people not being bothered by fines, which only impact normal/poor people reminds me of the quotation by Anatole France that: “The law, in its majestic equality, forbids rich and poor alike to sleep under bridges, to beg in the streets, and to steal bread.”

I work for super rich Arabic guy. He pays me $1200 a week to run his vape store. The only reason the store is open is out of spite because no vape store in town would carry the vape he wanted and we can't order vapes online here without a business ID. I get to play Xbox at work so I'm not about to complain.

I worked for a very rich man a long time ago. He was primarily in transportation. He owned multiple taxi companies, a couple bus companies, a limousine company, his own insurance company, & almost every single parking garage in the city. He bought three triple decker homes across the street from his main cab company. Evicted the tenants and tore them all down. Just so he could have a place to park his busses. I can't imagine spending millions of dollars to buy apartment buildings just to pave them over to park some busses.

If nobody lives there, I imagine the electric bill isn't that high, especially if it's somewhere that doesn't get very cold in the winter.
