Unfortunately people actually think fast food is cheaper then eating healthy. Its not!!! Especially if you stop snacking and eating other crap! We eat 2x a day and save money on groceries by getting healthier options. Once you kick the sugar addiction its easy! Another great interview Thomas!!!
I stopped eating and drinking all processed food 2 years ago ... 316 lbs down to 160 in 10 months, completely reversed my life and all the damage my eating habits had done. Something that works extremely well for me is walking to the grocery store every morning, it's a 3 mile round trip and I wear my backpack with a 25 lb plate in it to buy lean meat and vegetables for the day
Snicker dates: • Medjool dates • Nut butter (I use peanut butter) • Nuts (I use crushed peanuts) • Dark chocolate (I use a vegan one because I’m lactose intolerant) Pit the the dates. Spread nut butter on the inside. Add nuts, close. Dip stuffed date into melted chocolate. Freeze. Delicious! 🤤👌🏻
omg i need this lol i'm addicted to food in boxes
I’m currently reading his book it’s packed with digestible (no pun intended) knowledge! I can’t wait to get his cookbook!
I first started noticing awful diets in US kids in the early 90s. I couldn't believe my eyes when I went into a local convenience store and saw a line of teens buying "breakfast:" Sodas, Ho Hos, potato chips, candy, candy bars.....ugh. They then proceeded to the bus stop. We only drank one or two sodas on the weekend, growing up. Sit-down breakfast consisted of sausage, eggs, biscuits, gravy (mostly for the adults) and hot cereal for the kids. You could have scrambled eggs and one sausage if you wanted. We never ate fast food nor was pizza delivery a thing. Heck, the milk man was the closest to delivery we got. And remember, high fructose corn syrup was not a thing in the 60s, so boxed cereal was very different, as was orange juice. Maybe three kids in my high school class (200 or so) were obese, and I can think of half a dozen or so that were overweight.
Chewing and being aware of it is huge. I never knew why until watching this video. Yeah, it would be important as a hunter-gatherer to roll things around in your mouth, note the flavor and texture and eat it slowly to see what the effect on the body might be. If you get dizzy, you sure would spit it out.
Ghee has really curved my entire appetite for the day
“Bagels have their place, there might be a hole in their game” 😂 Love that! Great, intelligent, thoughtful conversation. Cheers!
Just can't kick the extra large pepperoni pizza!
