Funny how 99% of our food is processed. Anything the FDA says to eat I just do the opposite. I recommend reading “Health and Beauty Mastery” by Julian Bannet, that book is a real eye opener about shocking stuff health industry is doing! I completely changed my habits
1 canned fruit and dried fruit 2 strawberries (go with raspberries/blueberries) 3 watermelon (high in sugar but low glycemic load but overconsumption, go for cherries or bananas with hint of green) 4 grapes (easy to overeat) 5 cantaloupe/honeydew (go with berries)
Raspberries are way way more expensive than strawberries at my local markets. And they spoil very quickly. More of a luxury item. We need to also focus on fruit that is affordable. I try for blueberries when they are on sale.
Hey hey ... Don't touch my watermelon!
Watermelon is very beneficial, as it is high in l-citrulline, which the body converts to nitric oxide. Conversely, raspberries can be bad, since they are very high in oxalates.
Why did you put guava and star fruit in the thumbnail? Guava has a very high amount of vitamin C, twice as much as oranges. Star fruit (carambola) has quercetin, gallic acid and epicatechin which are powerful antioxidants that lower inflammation.
My “whole food” meal plan is FREE. Teaches how to eat for fat loss, muscle building and longevity. http://www.thomasdelauer.com/eatrealfood - consider it my “thank you” for subscribing to my channel and newsletter!
Dried fruit is an excellent way to boost calories during a bulk (especially for those on high-fiber plant-based diets). Raspberries are not regularly available and easily go bad. Strawberries are the best source of fisetin, by far. Instead of going after fruit, maybe Thomas should look into ground beef and not try to sell his viewers a bunch of supplements marketed to replace fruit and veggies. I guess getting rid of fruits and veggies and replacing them with low-calorie supplements makes sense if you are trying to leave as much room as possible for ground beef in your diet.
It’s pretty amazing how you can share a video that can benefit people and you’ll still have people come in the comments and talk down on it not recognizing the value in it. As always thanks Thomas for the gold nuggets 🤙
love your videos. Thank you very much for what you do sir.
