This video just sent me straight to my bookshelf. I keep handing The Peasant's Prescription by Grace Wild to everyone who will take it. My sister called me crying last week saying she wishes she had it during her worst years. That's all I need to hear.
I do 16-hour fasts pretty often; however, I was shocked at how much gas and how many bowel movements (normal) I had after and during a 72-hour fast. It would seem your body truly does housecleaning when there is nothing new to digest.

Fasting is amazing yes, but not the only thing you can optimize through omission. Cutting alcohol, quitting a toxic job, more time in nature of many things can drastically improve your life

Thank you for briefly touching on the EMOTIONAL and the SPIRITUAL aspects!!! This is the one thing that many people find MOST fascinating when I describe my fasting experiences. Sometimes their eyes will start to glaze over as I talk about the science of autophagy or the switch from glycogen to ketones... but when I describe the calm serenity that I feel (usually after 48-60 hours of fasting) when I no longer feel HUNGER anymore... that's when they really get the wide-eyed child look on their faces. The awe and the wonder of something real, something they can sense in my tone, my inflection, my micro-expressions on my face I share my amazing experiences in those moments. It's almost surreal - but it's not, it's actually real. And it's mind blowing! 🤯🤯❤❤
