I showed up whey early for this.
Yes!! I just started breaking my 18-20 hr fast in the mornings with Whey Isolate. Thank you for not only breaking this down, but also explaining a bit of the science behind it. I clicked that subscribe button so hard I almost broke my mouse!!
I use whey protein isolate, and I drink about a pint of milk kefir per day. Kefir contains the lactoferrin of milk without the lactose. When kefir ferments it uses the sugar in the milk (i.e. the lactose) to support the fermentation. The 60 or so strains of bacteria in the kefir grains literally eat the lactose to grow. Kefir is also one of the most powerful probiotics you can find, infinitely better than yogurt. And, it is cheap and easy to make.
It's more and more clear that the best thing you can do for over all health is just eat proper foods in their natural forms.
