I give up. How is food this complicated? Every week a new thing, do this - don't do that... and the next week it's the opposite.

I think 16/8 time restricted eating is best. Its not a fast. But I think is great when combined with exercise and good eating.

How can you call a 12 hour break from eating "fasting?" Thats just normal eating.

Everyone is different. Can’t be good or bad for everyone.

It’s nice in theory to think there’s a one size fits all approach, but I have never done well skipping dinner. I need to have a meal to sleep well. Carb backloading has been the best strategy for me personally

Not just fasting but low carb. That destroyed my sleep.

It doesn't have to be complicated. Remember, Thomas got his physique and maintained it before he learned most of the information in all the recent studies. Working out, balanced meals and controlling your caloric intake are key.

Hey man I’m a long time fan. Learning how to fast from you has been a huge positive thing for me over the last 6 years. Sounds like you’re going through a new phase of learning, especially about cortisol. I think you need to get far more clarity around the fasting / cortisol relationship here because there’s simply too much contradiction at the moment in your message. It’s almost too complex to follow at this point. You almost seem to be saying fasting is not really helpful, when for many in your audience that will not be the reality. Hope you can figure this out!

Well that was clear as mud. I"m more confused now that I was at the beginning.
