To whoever in the audience who said "Give us a slurp!", a million thanks to you!!! 😂😂😂
James has already completed the whole specialty coffee journey that he's just doing his side quests now
It's really fascinating to watch a packed theater of people see James groan in disgust at tasting Bosco, and then collectively decide that they need to experience that sensation for themselves. Especially because some part of me is going, "Yeah, I'd probably need to see for myself too."
This is a concept. It deserves to happen annually, with an audience. Seriously, extremely good entertainment. Also the guy going 'oh well' and then downing the whole thing should probably have a talk with a counsellor :D.
What a wonderful touch to the outfit folding your pocket square in the shape of a coffee bean! Brilliant
Our times were crying out for a special personality like James Hoffmann.
Kudos to the guy at 13:53 who, in spite of all of the warnings from James, just went and necked the shot. He's going places. The hospital, possibly.
I was there in the audience (not tasting… unfortunately?) and it was a _delightful_ atmosphere. So, I want to praise everyone involved: my fellow audience members for being lovely and lively; the crew for being professional and friendly; the team at Square Mile for the treats we took home; James for being a gracious, vivacious, humorous host; and – last but not least – his hair: not just cool, but the comic star of the night. James, following my question: if I had £2 million to give for a world travel show, you’d get it.
Man, that guy at 13:51 hearing James' description of "paint stripper", "gravy, but worse", and "filth", and still downing the liqueur is the bravest person alive
“Give us a slurp.” Absolute legend
