I would still pick my Lightning. A lot of you said you don't want to spend time charging the EV, but for me and most owners, we just plug it in at night (10 second operation) and leave it there till morning (another 10 second operation) instead of having to drive to a gas station every couple of days. I love that I haven't been to a gas station (or a public fast charger) for all these months. But yeah, if you depend on public fast chargers, I get the annoyance of having to plan for 30 minute downtime every time the truck needs more juice. Not my case, so the Lightning is it for me.
75,000 miles , in 2.5 years , best vehicle I have ever owned :) And being in the auto business for over 45 years , I have owned ( or the bank ) has owned thousands of vehicles. Total service cost for 75,000 miles / 4 tires and 3 gallons of windshield washer fluid :) No range anxiety in upstate NY If you drive it , you will buy it .
Went from raptor to a lightning. Would not go back to gas. Nicest vehicle I’ve ever owned.
LOVE my lightning. Plug in at night, no issues. I've got 50k miles on it, only had to buy tires and wiper fluid
Over 80k miles on mine and it’s been excellent. I’m excited for the next generation when it gets released in a few years.
Would you take the Lightning over a Ford F-150 Hybrid? Let us know in the comments!
One year of owning and close the 15k miles and I love my 23 Lightning. I’m in the North Central US and I’ve driven in Snow storms and trips where the Temperature never got above -15F (not Wind Chill). Never had an issue and my maintenance has been to patch a tire (screw in tire), rotate the tires as long as I was getting screw fixed, and two bottles of wiper fluid. With my TOU home charging I average 3 cents a mile for fuel to operate. And love that I can pre-heat in my garage safely without worrying about carbon monoxide when it’s sub-zero and I’m heading out. Frunk? Never want to be without one now.
The F150 Lightning would still be the only electric truck I would buy!
Got the XLT Lightning and it’s the best, most fun vehicle I’ve ever owned! Do I wish it had more range? Sure. And I tow! But everything else about it is just about perfect! Love it!
The last time I saw a pickup truck towing, it was in a commercial.
