Started fasting 5 days on 2 days off, 3 yrs ago. This works like magic and seems so easy now. I knew fasting worked great but I really did this around my five day work week because it was easier to fast on working days. Just simply worked well with my schedule. All told. I’ve lost over 80lbs, 54 yrs old with a six pack. No problem at all maintaining for over 2 yrs. Thank you Thomas!🙏
I’m a 65-year-old woman who has been concentrating on getting enough protein. Super low carbs, and I do the intermittent fasting. I lift heavy weights twice a week, sometimes three. Today’s DexaFit results showed great improvement over the scan that was done in April. Eleven pounds lost, 7.50% fat loss, visceral fat went from 0.93 pounds to 0.46. What’s most exciting is that the lean body mass gain was 4 pounds!! It’s not easy to burn fat and build muscle, especially when you’re an over-sixty-year-old woman. I’ve appreciated the data and research results that TD has shared over the years. I apply what I can, and continue to keep moving forward. I’m a walking miracle!

0:50 I really appreciate you calling this out explicitly, naming names. And it's not because they're "wrong" and deserve shame or something, it's because of how listeners relate to "influencers" (if they're advising people online, they're also influencers, they're not just PHDs). I associate ideas and themes with Peter and Rhonda. It would suck if you just agreed, because it would sorta end the conversation around fasting, as if science has closed the door on that practice. They've changed their minds before, and they will again. As will you. But in the mean time, keep pushing and pulling. Long time listener. ✌️
Thomas I have lost 30 lbs from watching your channel.... thank you dearly!!!!!!
First, thanks for all you do! I'm a truck driver. After a moderate active lifestyle, most my life, I settled around 180lbs in my early 40's. After 7 years of trucking I hit 199 a few times and experiment with a lot of stuff. Anyway, I've made some big changes lately and so far am pleased. This is a beginning for me and I'm sure things will develop more. Right now, I do a daily fast and eat within 3 hrs. Calories range from less than 1500 down to about 600 on my fasting days. My first goal is to hit at least 75g protein. I do this with beef, pork, fish and one core 42. No chicken or eggs for me. I eat Naan or Sourdough for bread. When I have a full day of eating, I feast. I consume veggies but little fruit, fairlife whole milk and some cheeses. On these days I usually garden and do chores from sun up to sun down. I attempt to stay away from canned food and use foil pouches, cardboard or Butcher paper. Mainly attempting to cut back on plastic. Seems impossible. I'm looking at adding some pecans or walnuts to my diet. I drink 1/2 gallon water a day. I started this 4 weeks ago. Week 1 I was just seeing if I could do the fast. The first 3 days was a lot of hunger. That doesn't happen at all anymore. Week 2 and 3 I went from 194lbs to 183.6lbs in 10 days. After feasting I was 190 in 3 days. I'm in week 4. I don't take any supplements. I feel more balanced in thought. Hardly any anxiety or depression. I sleep 7-10 hrs nightly. Before it was tough to get 6. Work has become easier with clarity of thought to be efficient. I've had concern about muscle recovery as with flatbed I do about 2 hrs of work daily, lifting 100lbs a few times, and 15 to 30lbs often. But mainly just walking around the truck and up then down. No muscle soreness or fatigue. I'm hoping after I get closer to 170lbs I can feel comfortable adding some resistance training on my feast days. Thanks again for all the tips. I hope people take their life serious to do something. I'm over 50 years old now. It's never too late to start unless it's over. 😂
Brain fog gone energy I'm not walking around with a big fat belly bloating all the time just lost 37 lb swimming riding my bike I love it I love it I love it
I could never speak negatively about fasting and Intermittent fasting, it changed my life, 5 years in and I'm never EVER looking back.
You are giving hope to a large group of people in all ages for a better life and health. Thanks
