My uncle reversed his diabetes in 6 months by lifting weights and eating a high protein low carb diet! Heโ€™s noticeably sharper now too. Itโ€™s amazing how much control we have over our health if we fix our habits!

Itโ€™s been exactly 9 years ago that I reversed T2 Diabetes. My A1C was 13 when I was diagnosed 10 1/2 years ago. I had to learn to inject myself with insulin 5 times a day. Also was prescribed oral medication. But came across Dr Jason Fung on YouTube. Listened to many of his videos for 2 days. Made a decision to eat very low carbs and only ate 1 meal a day. I stopped injecting the insulin but continued Metformin for a couple of weeks. My blood glucose was normal within days. Continued this way of eating with no medication for 5 months before my doctor appointment. They were shocked that I actually reversed my diabetes. My A1C was 4.7. I lost 65 lbs. while under doctors care they did tell me that I would be diabetic for life and will be injecting insulin forever. I also gained 25 lbs while taking insulin for 12 months. I questioned my doctor who blamed me for not trying hard enough even though I followed his instructions exactly as he instructed. 18:02

16 years of Diabetes here < In the last 5 years, I lost all the extra weight, developed neuropathy, Ketoacidosis and now take insulin. My C-peptide is in the normal range though, 1.6 I suspect eating less in general, prevents diabetes. More calories in, means more energy expenditure necessary to burn fat. It's not about carbs because many vegetarians aren't diabetic. If anything, it's about fat because it's more calorie dense than sugar. And it prevents the sugar from getting into the cells. Fat molecules are a lot bigger than glucose.

So the exception, not the rule is that people won't reverse their diet and lifestyle...Go sustainable carnivore... exercise, which is what Dr. Shawn Baker says is essential

I have insulin resistance for over 10 years and my A1C become 6.1 when I gain weight, so I start doing blood glucose test each morning at the beginning I was 112, the highest of the day was 156, 2 hours after eating. After 4 weeks stop consuming carbs sugar and cut off eating by 6pm my fasting blood glucose is around 82-96 and my weight dropped from 142 to 136-137 within 4 weeks. But I still have thick belly fat that I need to lose, I have been snacking all day and all night and eating carbs surges for too long, it may take a while, but I donโ€™t feel hungry that much anymore! I make keto cheese cake myself and I use AI to assist me for finding better ingredients packed food drinks (itโ€™s hard cause our packaged food are full of chemicals), my gut become sensitive too, so I need to save myself from weakened immune system ๐Ÿ˜ฎ
