Drop the carbs up the protein resistance training, build muscle. Stop watching the scale for a while🎉
Excellent interview. This video will be shared to many of my friends. This is the first time I have listened to @Dr Roshani Sanghani. She is very eloquent, clear speaking and to the point. She describes insulin resistance and metabolic health in a clear and understandable manner. I am animal based, but the doctor gives the most balanced description of plant based/vegetarian ketogenic diet I have heard. Thank you.
As someone who trained in utilizing motivational interviewing, I want to applaud her, taking that knowledge and skill set toward behavior change around food for people. That’s super awesome!
I am indian. So genetically predisposition. I was able to bring my A1C down in 2 months by avoiding eating out and lowering carbs.😊
In my mind, i trace the problem back to so many doctors, failing to solve anything much at all, but not one of them ever testing the insulin levels or even mentioning it. Perhaps they just think "well you look healthy" ? Even now, if they do the lazy BMI thing, which my doctor takes no account of how many heavy layers i am wearing, and then asks me how tall i am, often suggesting i am taller, but not once ever measuring, to make sure... I can do a better job myself at home. I can also check my own blood pressure or heart rate. I leave there with pills i don't need, one that i do, and really why do i need to go there at all ? They are always too busy, and running late, so if i die, its a relief for them.
