The title is a bit click baity. I listened to the whole thing and didn't hear any concerns about keto causing issues with visceral fat.

High fasting insulin on low carb, keto or carnivore can be due to not enough potassium and salt. Take your glucose reading, then drink a glass of water with a 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1000 mg of potassium, then take another reading in an hour. I’ve seen levels drop from 108 to 86. This may not be the case for everyone, but for some, this may be the case. Low carb diets drop insulin levels, and lower insulin means the kidneys drop salt, and drop even more potassium. So more salt and potassium is needed when on a very low carb diet.

Great video! Adaptive insulin resistance on keto isn’t always a bad thing—focus on visceral fat, muscle quality, and real-world health markers over one lone lab value. 👌

It would be interesting to look at the numbers for Eskimos. Carbs are virtually non-existent in their diet and fats are extremely high.

I'm looking forward to the day we stop talking about the absurdity that is "the sugar diet".

the title wasnt even discussed. I think the best statement "treat the patient not a number ".
