I gave up on my 2015 S550 after seven years and 98k miles. The engine was leaking oil, the wheels kept breaking, the coil pack needed replacing for the second time, and I just did not trust the car to get me through long trips with no problems. What is the point of a luxury Mercedes if you can't trust it to take you on a long trip with no problems?
When the service/repair comes out of the owner's pocket, they pile it on. When it's their pocket, not so much. Same thing occurs here in the states. Dealer service departments are not your friend. Full stop.
As the old saying goes: "The Truth Hurts". Your honesty has given consumers a heads up about this model of Benz 🎩💯
I had a 2018 AMG C63S that was amazing… Until it wasn’t. It through a rod, the dealer said it would cost $25k to replace the engine!! I had to get rid of it. Looking at the AMG E63S. Not too sure about these modern cars anymore. Thanks for all the great info!
I have 2019 S560. Had a terrible shutter upon acceleration. The Dealership I go to said it was bad front tires. I had another dealership look at it. It was the transmission mount. Still under warranty and problem fixed. I complained to the Dealership I normally use and they gave me an attitude as well. I learned to let it go. The customer is always right. The truth is hard for people to handle directly. I still love my Mercedes and will be a lifetime owner. Don't allow their faults become your burden. I enjoy when people like yourself show these videos. It allows the public to see all Manufacturers have problems. Keep them coming Mark. Great video.
I strongly believe that if they never washed under your hood and got all your electrical components wet they mysteriously dash lights would be non existent or less prominent. They should of offered or gave you a courtesy extended warranty for washing under your hood without your consent. Especially during the cold months. They dealership probably gets quiet when you walk in because they know you're a popular You Tuber with a lot of followers. I still love the C300 and I hope to own one one day and I was going to buy one but I ended up getting a 2026 Honda Civic Hybrid Sport In Boost Blue which I love and I get about 46 miles to the gallon but I do miss the luxury features of the C300 and its comfort. Great video and looking forward to more content in your C300 in the future because I love those cars. The first one I ever saw was a 2017 C300 Disignio Mettalic Red Coupe with 20 inch Chrome Koko Koture wheels that looked like turbine fan blades and I fell in love with that car and it ended up selling for 7k and it had 131 thousand miles on it. I've been heart broken ever since.

The two happiest days of my Mercedes E300 ownership were the day I bought the car, and the day I got rid of it. It was a beautiful car, but the number of codes I got, and the fit and finish were without question the worst vehicle I ever owned. I went back to owning Lexus's and have never looked back

Hi Mark, Thank you so much for sharing these honest observations. While some dealers may not appreciate your candor, many of us, your subscribers, are truly grateful for your openness and commitment to the truth. I’ve had very similar experiences with both of my Mercedes vehicles—a 2019 GLC43 and a 2019 C43 Cabriolet. I truly miss the stunning AMG designs and, especially, the wonderful M276 engine paired with the performance exhaust; to me, they were something special. However, I was constantly frustrated by various rattles and the inconsistent build quality, particularly with the GLC43, where the dashboard would become incredibly noisy whenever the weather turned cold. Ultimately, I replaced the GLC43 with a 2023 A4 Allroad (I’m from Eastern Europe and have a soft spot for estate cars), and I swapped the C43 Cabriolet for a 2021 Z4 30i. I’m genuinely happy with both of them—they feel solidly built and have brought back a sense of confidence in my cars. It’s truly a shame that Mercedes seems to have let go of the quality control they were once so renowned for—perhaps even deliberately. Thank you again for bringing these issues to light; it really means a lot to those of us who care deeply about these brands.
