I've been tracking my heart rate while sleeping . When my stomach is empty my heart rate drops below 50 beats per minute . Food in my stomach at or above 60 bpm.
The problem with “eat like a king …..” is that at least for me breakfast is a stressful meal as there is stress to be on time (school work other stuff), lunch and dinner are social time without stress ….
My sleep quality sucks unless I eat before bed..
Brushing early makes a huge difference to snacking. Thanks Dr Brad.
My triglycerides are always fantastic, but I spent the first 30 years of my life eating a small lunch and big late dinner. Then started eating a breakfast and over a few years gained weight and found that it made me very lethargic during the day meaning I moved a lot less.
Old people got it right- early bird dinners for all!

So the inverted triangle is correct all along. Big breakfast, medium-sized lunch and light dinner. Sounds like what I follow, and my BMI is normal for last the 30 years.
This is probably why we have the saying “breakfast is the most important meal of the day” 😉
Thanks for the great content! Personally I have great mental clarity in the morning if I skip breakfast. I then have a big lunch, and a moderate sized early dinner, and fast in the late evening and into the morning. I do agree on not eating close to bedtime - if I have any food closer than 3 hours before bed, it's an awful sleep.
