Experiencing this film in theaters was unforgettable. Ever since I saw the film I've heard the soundtrack nonstop.
Einstein’s “miracle” year was 1905 & he didn’t die until 1955. He helped usher in 20th century ideas.
Yes Truman actually said "I don't want that crybaby in my office ever again".
The ending still hits hard. For how tricky and dense the storytelling is to follow, the way everything is brought together for some satisfying twists and surprises in what should already be known history was brilliant writing.
As a chemist that was privileged enough to work at Los Alamos im so glad to see my profession showcased is such an exciting movie. The scenes of him in his college labs gave me nostalgia for my old labs.
This movie is endlessly fascinating to me…the directing, the acting, the script, the score, the editing, the cinematography. Not to mention the actual plot…so many fascinating historical figures. Reading up on their real-life details and accomplishments was amazing.
My favorite line: FEYNMAN: "The glass stops the radiation." TELLER: "What stops the glass?"
I love how Emily Blunt is kept to the sidelines and swoops in and completely owns the hearing at the end.
This use of Black and White to show shifting perspective is masterclass. Color for Oppenheimer's perspective and black-and-white for Strauss' perspective.
"I believe we did" is a chilling statement, literal full body chills.
