I need to eat at least a quarter cup of whole grains or some type of carb at night or I won't sleep well
I offer you the FOLLOWING EVIDENCE: My husband beat diabetes in 10 months. His HBA1C dropped from 11.4 to 5.2% . His doctor was shocked. He did not intermittent fast but ate extremely low carb breakfasts......high protein at every meal....low carb lunches....and the most carbs at dinner. I agree with the style of eating that Thomas details here. As for me....I have lost 30 lbs. eating the same way but included lots of intermittent fasting. We did NOT count macros or restrict calories at all. We did not feel deprived. We dont exercise as much as we should...We are 61 and 64 and on no medications.👍
So many factors are overlooked. Working out does way more than people realize
The most important thing to realize with these studies is that they don't consider endurance athletes vs gym rats. I simply cannot and do not eat the same when I am riding my bike or surfing for hours a day vs just doing moderate cardio and lifting weights. And it will be another huge difference if we are talking desk jockeys that have a lethargic lifestyle.
Carbs at night helps with sleep
If I’m hungry, I eat. If I’m hungry at night, I eat. I just don’t eat carbs. In fact, more often than not it’s sat fat heavy. I’m not restricting carbs.
51: I've decided that I want to keep my small waistline. I've discovered(this summer by accident) that my sweet spot is eating at 11a.m. (fasted fitness) and at 4/5p.m. Two meals (50to60g protein each meal) no snacks or consume snack food with my meal, so I don't miss the small treat.
Thanks Thomas - I always love your content - and your delivery!! By the way, loving the new-do!! :)
Does anyone else see the bug crawling along the side of the bowl at 3:57? Extra protein? This is a great channel btw and obviously that is a stock video :)
FYI...Your sponsors that u mention during videos have all been a big plus in our lives. Majority have become part of our routine! Really appreciate ALL your work!
