I did the sugar diet for about 10 years and successfully gained 70lbs! It's exactly what I needed to gain weight and feel terrible every day that I did it!

This is one of the best videos you've done, Tom. I used to follow keto, but I was losing too much weight and muscle mass ( I'm a former competitor ). I was eating two meals a day and fasting. My body just couldn't sustain that. My workouts suffered big-time. I'm a 59-year-old male, and I'm trying to prevent sarcopenia. The gym owner suggested I try carb cycling. He said I was running on fumes. On the days I work out I'll eat say around 70 to 100 grams of carbs. On the days I don't workout I'm eat about 20 or so. This has worked out so well for me. It has sustained my weight, and I've gained muscle and strength back. All the while, my waist stays tight.

At least the air we breathe doesn't cause insulin resistance....so far

In the last 10 years, I've done keto, carnivore and I am doing very low carb now. I get checked regularly because of some health issues and I don't have insulin resistance. I feel great, good sleep, energy and less pain than when I was doing a high carb vegetarian diet. Each person is different and we have to try and find what works for us

Low carb, higher fat with intermittent fasting is finally balancing my blood sugar and helping shed excess weight from menopause, so I’m just grateful to find something that works for my needs and is sustainable for my own lifestyle - plus my skin is glowing and no more cravings!! 🎉 love it!

I’ve been keto for four years, and my labs show that I no longer have insulin resistance. I also reversed my diabetes within 6 months, lowering my A1C from 15.8 to 5.4 and no longer have any of my chronic illnesses. Fruit/honey doesn’t work for me. This lifestyle is sustainable for me and keeps me at my optimal level health. 😃

If i eat carbs i stay hungry. If i eat carnivore-ish i stay full and forget about food. I do a Saturday night treat thing but for the majority of the week its all about low carb natural foods. Occasional treats is not really helping but its not really hurting me either.

I'm sticking to Keto. We are allowed 20 - 50g of carbs per day, which I get from vegetables, berries and nuts. I also have the occasional treat (homemade ice cream) and some other treats and don't feel guilty. Keeping weight off and losing more and feel good.

I think any diet depends on lifestyle and also genetics. I have a family member that was considered type 2 (doctor kept pushing for medication). With a ketogenic diet, this family member has put their type 2 diabetes into remission. The doctor is still a bit puzzled by the results but he said the test results are clear, it is in remission... So find what works for you and your lifestyle/genetics and don't be frightened by scaremongering.
