I fast everyday for 18 hours or more and haven’t gotten sick in years.
I disagree with the protein intake in one sitting. I often do omad 5 days and carnivore full time, I don’t typically fast on the weekends. I typically eat 2-2.5lbs of red meat so about 200g of protein and I feel amazing and my body builds muscle and recovers great consistently.
This is why I dont fast. Destroyed my sleep and I was getting sick often
Yes! Fasting is not always beneficial. Especially when one needs extra nutrients to recover. Also, great to hear Dr Fung being acknowledged.
One should also avoid Intermittent Fasting if BMI is less than 20.
If you have good diet, are eating the most nutrient dense food, train, and are acutely really healthy, fasting is not needed.
My personal mistake when fasting was not enough resistance training, eating leaver and other internals.
