Interesting perspective, but some of these arguments feel overly alarmist and slightly outdated, especially depending on where you live. First, the heavy metal warning is largely misplaced. Sardines are at the very bottom of the food chain, meaning they don't accumulate mercury like large predators (e.g., tuna or swordfish). As for the arsenic mentioned, the type naturally found in marine life is predominantly arsenobetaine (organic arsenic), which is non-toxic and easily excreted by the human body. Second, the BPA argument is quickly becoming a thing of the past. For instance, the EU introduced a strict ban on BPA in food contact materials that took full effect in early 2025. The vast majority of modern cans on the European market now use BPA-NI (Non-Intent) linings, making the endocrine disruptor risk practically negligible. I definitely agree with your point about choosing sardines in water/brine over those packed in cheap seed oils! However, eating canned sardines in water 3x a week is perfectly safe. It remains one of the most affordable, nutrient-dense sources of Omega-3s (EPA/DHA), highly bioavailable calcium, and protein. There's really no need to fear-monger such a great whole food.
Just eat grass fed sardines instead
Wild Planet doesnt have bpa in their cans just fyi
im really starting to hate youtube. it fucks with everything i do and love
*The results are in, no one can eat anything anymore, not even water, good night all*

I've seen several people check their heavy metals and they didn't rise after a long fast.
Can't eat sh*t these times.. 💀✌️
That’s why I eat organic, whole-fat, grass-fed, non-GMO, pasteurized, free-range sardines
