Over the decades, I've listened to all these experts instruct us about the best diet using fancy words only to later do a total turnaround. Low carb, high carb, LDL cholesterol vs HDL cholesterol, fruit good, fruit bad, veggies yea, veggies nay, red meat no, red meat yes. This leads me to believe that when it comes to the body, there is no health expert out there that knows for certain what is best. So I'd say perform the most thorough due diligence you can, use your intuition, and let your own body be your guide. LOL!
I, for one, have great respect for people who show that they are learning as more information comes about. Who don’t just double down and reject any new information. So i have respect for this man.
I think the biggest problem that we have here in this country is that GMO food is not banned like it is in other countries. As well as so much of our food is sprayed with toxic chemicals.
“In a metabolically healthy person”.. there’s the key .. how many people are actually “metabolically healthy”
My mum truly understood the importance of grounding. Must have been ancestral instincts. She grounded me all the time.
You guys are both in tremendous shape, low body fat, very fit, etc. I agree that in that condition, consuming appropriate amounts of carbohydrates as part of the diet is most natural and healthy. For someone overweight and insulin resistant, adding honey to their diet would not necessarily have the same effect. People need to take steps to get closer to the condition you both are in before taking some of these things to heart.
"We should not fear glucose spikes in a metabolically healthy individual..." That's the key point unfortunately very few on a standard American diet are metabolically healthy.
Dogs teach us a lot.. living in the now not worrying about past or future, sleep well and nap regular, crave meat, don’t wear shoes outside, stretch out regularly, drink only water, enjoy exercise, show loyalty and don’t bite the hand that feeds you…
My great grandmother lived till 100. She was always lean, never heard of gym , but she used to walk a LOT. She ate rice , a bit of fish and whatever else was available. She didn't have diabetes.
