Magnesium glycinate (bisglycinate) ~75–90% absorption, magnesium citrate ~65–85%, magnesium chloride ~60–80%, magnesium lactate ~60–80%, magnesium aspartate ~60–80%, magnesium malate ~55–75%, magnesium taurate ~50–75%, magnesium gluconate ~50–70%, magnesium L-threonate ~50–70%, magnesium sulfate (oral) ~30–50%, and magnesium oxide ~4–15%
If you want all natural magnesium then eat these Food Item Approx. Magnesium (mg/oz) Pumpkin Seeds (Pepitas) ~150–168 mg Chia Seeds ~111–114 mg Brazil Nuts ~106 mg Sesame Seeds ~101 mg Almonds ~80 mg Enjoy natural magnesium
Folks, be aware of what brand your buying from. I bought magnesium glycinate from a company that was at least 90% magnesium oxide. I'm a chemist and to make things short I'll just say any freshman chemist that understands stoichiometry and can use an analytical balance can tell. I contacted the company and they didn't want to discuss but told me I was wrong. I then challenged then that if their magnesium glycinate was tested at an independent lab and was in fact magnesium glycinate I would donate $100,000 however, if the product was over 90% magnesium oxide they would refund my money. They did not take my challenge. Mg Glycinate has a molecular weight of 172g/mol Mg Oxide has a molecular weight of 40.2 g/mol. Simply breaking and weighing some pills isn't rocket science. Also watch for the word "buffered" after your Magnesium Glycinate, this means their is some magnesium glycinate but also some magnesium oxide and I promise you they will use the cheapest form to make the compound.
Amazing how "THEY" were/are always "WRONG" or always "LIED', but we here got it right. LMAO
I find sucrosomial magnesium the best to replenish the bodies magnesium stores but I also use magnesium threonate for the brain.
Magnesium Glycinate actually gives me insomnia.
I'm 57 and I've been down every rabbit hole you can imagine. Keto. Juice cleanses. Expensive probiotics. The Peasant's Prescription by Grace Wild was the first thing that actually made me stop and think wait… I've been overcomplicating this my whole life.
I take a magnesium that has more than one form. The biggest difference I’ve noticed is better sleep.
I know this video is about Magnesium, and it was all good info, but I recently saw a Zinc-Glycinate product. What are your thoughts on that? Can you do another video?
Good to know, Thomas ... some of us are on some really tight budgets right now and have been wondering which supplements are the most essential as there are so many to choose from. Thank you for sharing this information with us!
