I thought cold exposure changed fat from white to brown or whatever so it was then more easily accessed and burned?
I loved this video. At 69, I have tried everything to keep my blood sugar under control, except freezing myself. Nope, not gonna do it. I have learned one thing and Thomas talks about this a lot, MORE Protein. If you fill up with quality protein, you eat less and you can work longer and harder.
After many years of trying many things, fat loss still boils down to " Eat less, move more" Nutrition boils down to eat whole natural foods .

100% agree with the cold plunging aspect. I think the greatest benefit (personally) is that it forces us to overcome something we don't want to do. Builds that resilience component superbly as you mentioned.
Must be something to cold exposure because surfing rates really high up there in energy expenditure activities, even though they mostly just float about the majority of the time just waiting for that wave 🌊

The third one is problematic. When people START a ketogenic diet, they'll have more success if they add fat. Eventually, though, they'll need to limit energy by limiting fat.
