Managing belly fat and blood sugar has been such a challenge, but understanding the root causes really helped me make lasting changes. I look at it this way, resistance training builds the engine and your daily activity is uses the engine. I resistance train 3 times a week and make sure I walk every day. Plus, like Thomas said, move through out the day.
This matches the Blue Zone findings. Longest lived men are sheep farmers in Sardinia. They walk on and off most of the day.

watching blue light on my lunch break while eating chimichangas. Needless to say I work a sedentary desk job.
Well, I pretty much knew already that my sit-down IT job of several decades was killing me. I do 37 minutes of treadmill (with an incline) 4 days a week, but I've known for the past several months that without hyper-focused dieting, I'm not losing any weight or belly fat. But I have to find out things I actually enjoy to do that would cause me to move around. Moving to my recliner and TV after work is VERY inviting and comforting.
Today I exercised an hour at 9 AM. Then some work, eating, work, then walked to a park to do some pullups early afternoon. Then more work, and finally an hour walk at evening. And now I'm commenting here 🙂 14k steps altogether. I think the point is to regularly break your sittings with some movements. I heard that even 10 squats every 45 mins is enough to mitigate the risks of sitting.
The Bible says physical fitness is of SOME value.
