Mel Robbins' podcasts are really good. I'm a mechanical engineer living in Turkey. I listen to you to improve my English, and along the way, I'm learning so many different things. I'm so glad you exist. 🙏🙏🙏
This is sad watching her cut the connections because being in highly toxic marriage for almost a decade and I can feel every cut that she did. It reminded me of when I was in it. That’s what my brain was doing as I was taking on everything and dealing with the abuse. Not being creative for almost a decade this was why. My brain 🧠 was cutting the connections!! This really hurts knowing what I didn’t know what was happening to me. Know I know. Once I got out I was able to take care of me. This is another great episode!! Thank you for this!!
If chronic stress is truly a problem that causes damage to the brain then the workplace needs to change. It’s not normal for people to do jobs that have their stress on high alert 5 days a week. Not to mention everything that goes along with that such as travel to and from work and the cost associated with work that causes stress just to get everyday bills paid and the toxic environments created by stressful working conditions.
Was just talking to my husband about this last night. What's incredible is that I already know that I trust this information and that it's worth sharing and passing on - even before watching it fully. Thank you for being such a tremendous inspiration, Mel. We love you!
as a dietitian at a world renowned research center and a cert trainer, this is 100% correct!
The Sherzais are THE BEST!! Thank you for speaking with them!
Awesome episode, Mel! Most people think brain health is something you worry about later, but it’s shaped by what you do every day right now. Chronic stress, poor sleep, and lack of movement aren’t just lifestyle issues, they’re directly impacting your brain over time. The empowering part is that your brain is adaptable, which means small, consistent habits can actually change your long-term trajectory. This is exactly why understanding your nervous system and daily patterns matters so much. Thank you!
Age 70, listening to this while I'm at the gym
