Really enjoyed our conversation. That’s for having me on for It.
My Dad did it ALL with us. Played sports with us, took us fishing, let us help him do yard work, etc. He did it all while holding a cigarette in his mouth and a Miller stubby in his fist.
One of your better videos Thomas. This gets into the philosophy of training and how it should connect to your life’s needs versus just trying to get big and look good. Functional strength is the goal. Being able to complete almost any physical task that comes your way is highly valuable. And most importantly extend this capability into your later years
At 60 I’ve just gotten back into Triathlons. Not to compete ‘against’ other people but to compete against stagnation, lethargy and not having something to get up for. If you’re not doing it For You it’s not worth it.
Saw him at the 2012 Games, he was my absolute role model at this time in Crossfit :-)
Im 54 been training since 1992. I train 6 days a week. Weights and healthy diet never drank or smoked. One thing I learned as I watched many ppl going to the extreme been ripped all year round and been more intense is they got to my age and most of them are walking around with a big belly and zero energy and they look was older then me. So at the end of the day. Keep it simple Forget about been the best and the most ripped. That will destroy u in the long run.
What he said about nutrition is fantastic! What a great dad.
This is a great interview. 🙏🏻
Thank’s for having a good conversation with great person. In my eyes Jason Khalipa has always been someone whose mindset is in a right space in order to concoure what is need to be concoured. And it is even more refreshing to learn, that his heart is on right place. Not that I was ever thinking anything else. But hearing a man talking about the things that matters the most in life gives a good perspective about his views on life. People should always pursuit great things in life for their beloved ones not on the expence of them.
What a great and honest conversation.
