I give it about 12 minutes before DeLauer posts a completely contradictory video showing why carbs are actually essential for everyone

Being fat adapted and keto for over a decade myself I wanted to test just how much energy I had in my fat reserves and with zero carbs. In sep 2023 I did 5 marathons in 5 days completely fasted. 212km during a 5 day fast and I never ran out of energy. I’d never done a marathon before either. My blood sugar remained rock solid the entire time.

Imagine that 10,000 years ago your ancestors were on a 3 day hunt. They had to run down their prey because in this scenario that was just how it worked. Carbs were not freely available, being as how agriculture was not a thing at this point. Humans being stupid slow like we are, the only option is dogged never ending pursuit until the faster animals collapse from exhaustion. Pretty good bet that we ran mostly on ketones. So none of this surprises me.

I am not a scientist. I am 35yo, 6ft2in tall, man, weight 347ib, and is experiencing diebtic symptoms but have not been officially diagnosed. When I began my research to make myself healthy. Carnivor, plus working out, seems to be the answer. As I got into working out, I started liking weight lifting a lot. Began to want to optimize building muscles. Everyone kept saying, "You need carbs." Balance between the macros is better in the long run. So I switched back to having carbs in my diet. Yeah, I felt more energy at first. But what I realize it that on my carnivore diet. I never NORMALIZED being in ketosis. So, I thought the info online was right. My weight loss slowed down. Over time, working out just felt as normal as working out on carnivore. The energy boost went away. I felt like crap again. Began to revert back to my diet crash cycles. Now I am going back to Carnivor because of the diabetic symptoms. I'm trying to get back into working out. This video made me realize that I just did not give Carnivor diet long enough to become optimized in my body. That Carnivor was enough to optimize building muscles.

As a vegetarian for 20 years I’m now actively considering returning to eating meat > I changed my diet dramatically 2 years back and include a good amount of animal fat / protein > I’ve not even had a cold since

Worked all this out by accident 20 years ago in my 30, i did it out of necessity, hit a wall with weight lifting and sprinting and bag work, stopped carbo loading before weight lifting and sprinting and bag work, found latter in life i was on a keto diet, my performance went through the roof, my trainer kept asking if i was on roids lol
