On behalf of viewers & Thomas here is the list and a reminder that if you simply click on "more" and scroll to Timestamps the same list is posted there as well. 🤗😉😎 1) Cayenne Pepper (capsaicin) 2) Ginger (2g dry ginger in warm water) 3) Onions & garlic 4) Clove (clove oil) 5) Mustard (whole grain; Old Style Mustard)
Fun fact: birds lack the TRVP1 receptor. So it’s not spicy to them, hence the name “African bird pepper.” 🌶️ Another fun fact is that the TRVP1 receptor also releases endorphins. Which is why when we eat something really really spicy it gives us a “high.” I only know this stuff because I love spicy foods. And I noticed when I would reach a certain threshold of spice I would trip out or start acting goofy. So did the research and sure enough, it gets you high. 😂
Please Thomas, include the eastern and western information coming! The blending of western science and eastern medicine is what functional medicine is bringing to better improve our understanding of overall health. So enjoyed this video!! More please
You say "not the yellow mustard" but Im from the UK and our 'English Mustard' is yellow and super pungent and I belive has a very high AITC content. More so than Wasabi.
I eat yellow mustard every day for the turmeric. I like Dijon and spicy brown, as well.
All good stuff Thomas. The algo is loving it!
Always learning from Thomas
