Get Shredded for Less than $10/Day by Eating This (full food list)
Budget-Conscious Grocery Strategy for Shredding
Learn how to structure your diet to achieve physical leanness targets while adhering to a strict weekly grocery budget, likely around fifty dollars. This guide prioritizes protein acquisition per dollar over expensive quality fats for successful short-term cutting phases.
Short Summary
- Maximize protein acquisition per dollar spent by selecting leaner cuts or straining cheaper, fattier meats.
- Temporarily reduce reliance on expensive, high-quality fats (like nuts/avocados) in favor of moderate carbohydrates allocated to the evening.
- Leverage frozen produce and specific condiments like mustard to maintain nutrient intake and appetite control affordably.
This guide outlines practical food substitutions and preparation methods to stay lean while navigating high ingredient costs, focusing heavily on protein sources that offer the best return on investment dollar-for-dollar.

I’m a doctor, and ‘Real Health Is Simple’ by Julian Marks is a books I actually suggest everyone to read. It’s that powerful, nothing comes close.
I would like to see a grocery haul for something like when you're on a budget
A tip would be to add cinnamon to the yoghurt as that sweetens it with almost zero calories 🤷🏻♀️
Bro I don’t think you realized how many people you just helped with this, every time I talk to friends about changing their food habits they don’t know where to start, this is perfect
Grocery List (focus on protein per dollar) 1. Ground Beef (90% or higher, lean but can be rinsed under hot water to get extra fat off) 2. Chicken Thigh (no Skin) 3. Tuna/Sardines (in water) 4. Ground Turkey (leaner the better, but can be rinsed same as ground beef) 5. Broccoli/Cauliflower (frozen is great) 6. Fat Free Greek Yogurt (add stevia or alternate sweetner if budget allows use honey for additional carbs) 7. Low Fat Cottage Cheese (great before bed, check label - avoid carageenan) 8. Healthy Carbs sources like potatoes or rice. 9. healthy fats like avocados, macadamia nuits, almonds, are ok but not cost effective 10. sauces like hot sauce and mustard are great and low cal. 11. Frozen Fruits - berries are usually cheap enough and high anti oxidants
The skipjack tuna from ALDI has been rated as the safest tuna out there and is also pretty cheap. 🐟
A grocery haul would be great but use a typical store, not Costco or Trader Joe’s. Not everyone has these types of special stores nearby.
I hate tuna so much. But price and health wise, it's the absolute best.
Eggs and hamburger forever
love to see a grocery haul for people who are lost in life and don’t have lots of money
