He's spot on with eating something while watching, so I just plan my meals around when I watch something, and then I just drink water or sip on some coffee.
"Eat like an Adult" YES! Let yourself actually get hungry then eat like an adult and just until satiated. Separate eating from emotions by fasting. YES!!!! I absolutely agree. As soon as I embraced hunger as a feeling and embrace it and the hunger passed because my body tapped into fat stores I was able to separate emotional eating from eating for health. We are designed to go without food for a few days due to fat stores. Only sub 5% body fat people will struggle with fasting physically or people with some metabolic disorder.. and fasting can reverse modern metabolic disorders due to overeating. Mentally dealing with fasting is a different story, emotional and spiritual hunger or boredom drives compulsive behaviors like eating when you don't need to. It's a mind over matter "exercise" which will separate emotional eating from eating for health. Type 2 diabetics especially embrace your hunger pains daily until they go away on their own without food. Drink water and have a tiny bit of salt and see where you stand.
