I have to make a statement @Thomas, I have been following your content for a couple of years and even though you are not a scientist, doctor, etc. (you also don't claim to be), I've been guinea pig'ing myself for the past 12 months with your fasting advice and I've lost 50 lbs in 2025, I'm strength training on an intermediate level based on 195 bodyweight and recomp'ing and looking/feeling better than I ever have. Thank you for all your hard work and keep it up bro. 👍😎

My goal with fasting is not the fat burning nor is it the speeding up metabolism, but it is autophagy and mitophagy. Only prolonged fasting causes it.
On a 7 day fast right now, only 6d23h to go 😮💨 😂🤣
This gets more confusing all the time …no wonder people get sick of listening to all the “experts” and just decide to eat pizza and go bowling Thursday nights .

I'm 17 days into a 40-day fast and losing fat hand over fist. Because I've learned to monitor and manage my body's needs for electrolytes and iron, I am perfectly fit, alert, and energetic. I walk a couple miles a day outside and am keeping up with my household chores and work. I'm doing the fast to consecrate myself to God, but the weight loss is still handy as I had a good 70 lbs to lose anyway. All the "experts" will warn you to never undertake such a thing without medical oversight (for which they'll gladly take your money, of course), but the truth is that if you're experienced, knowledgeable, and conscientious, it can be done safely. Happy fasting, everyone!
