Here’s the easiest way to do a 36 hour fast stop eating at dinner time around seven that way you’ll sleep through most of this fast. Wake up and just have a black coffee and water with electrolytes throughout the day no food then sleep, wake up and have breakfast after the 36 hours have passed and you’re done!
I was 2/3 the way to a 20 hour fast and this motivated me to go 36.
All I can say is there is no way a young person can truly know how it feels to be old.

I've never called it a "monk" fast but you did just describe my entire routine... Only I've done it for months at a time... Once it gets going 10lbs per week of exclusively fat loss... Maintaining solid workouts and deep meditations daily... Only eating every 36 hours and mostly eating soups with animal broth as the base... Its replaced the "calorie deficit," cutting routine I used to do in my bulk and trim cycle. I even noticed that most modern foods, delivery pizza for example, tend to look disgusting after a while... When you only eat once every day and a half, you really stop wanting to waste those meals on junk and naturally start to train your body to crave more nutrient dense or healthier options.
