The most bang for the $ - Beta-glucan = soaked rolled barley and/or oats - Inulin = chicory root ( steeping it like tea) or raw garlic - Pectin = Granny Smith apples and/or lemon

I think mushrooms make a different type of beta glucan than oats and barley. One helps cholesterol and the other helps immune system

This is why you should be eating a small amount of kimchi everyday. Kimchi’s main ingredients if it hasn’t been bastardized too much (or at least they way my mom taught me to make it is simple) include Garlic, Onions, whole apple blended, whole pear blended, small amount of fish oil, nappa cabbage, daikon radish, carrots (optional), and small red pepper flakes all fermented. The only thing it might lack somewhat is the beta glucans from mushrooms. But lightly saute shiitake mushrooms in sesame oil and poor a few ounces of kimchi over it and “Your Welcome”!

I soak organic oats overnight in almond milk with almonds or walnuts and chia seeds, then add blueberries and ground flax in the morning.
