Best news I've had for a long time. Coffee is just about the only "vice" I have left these days. Glad to see I can still take my 2/3 cups a day......
0:00-1:00 - Coffee and Heart Health Concerns Early research raised concerns about coffee causing heart problems, particularly due to caffeine’s effects on heart rate and blood pressure. 1:43-2:00 - Coffee and Hypertension A meta-analysis found coffee consumption was linked to a 2% lower risk of hypertension for each additional cup per day. 2:30-3:10 - Coffee and Heart Disease Multiple studies show coffee drinkers have a lower risk of heart disease and strokes, with those drinking 2-3 cups daily having better outcomes. 3:21-4:01 - Coffee and Irregular Heartbeats Research shows no increased risk of atrial fibrillation from coffee; in fact, it might help protect against it. 4:11-4:57 - New Study on Coffee and Atrial Fibrillation A new study found that daily coffee drinkers with atrial fibrillation had a 23% lower risk of heart problems like stroke and heart attack. 4:57-6:00 - Cautions About Coffee Consumption Important cautions: timing, caffeine amount, unfiltered coffee’s impact on cholesterol, and avoiding cream and sugar. 6:00-7:15 - Coffee and Liver Health Drinking 2+ cups of coffee daily improves liver function and lowers the risk of liver disease. It also decreases death from liver disease. 7:15-8:20 - Coffee and Cancer Coffee does not increase cancer risk; in fact, it may lower the risk of liver and endometrial cancer. 8:20-10:41 - Optimal Coffee Consumption Best to avoid drinking coffee immediately upon waking up. Aim for 2-3 cups daily to maximize health benefits without side effects. 10:41-11:10 - Latest Research on Coffee Timing Studies show drinking coffee in the morning is linked to a lower risk of death, reinforcing the benefits of early coffee consumption.
I wonder where instant coffee stand compared to filter-coffee, in terms of: 1. Cholesterol 2. Caffeine 3. Polyphenols and the like
Excellent I'm going to be immortal! I measure my coffee in pots not cups
I wish Brad differentiated between coffee and caffeine because while I only have 2-3 cups of caffeinated coffee in the morning I also like an occasional decaf coffee in the evening ( and now I'm not sure if that evening decaf is ok as far as the studies go)
